Yolanda Yuanlu Peng is a Boston-based theater designer and puppet artist. Recently graduated from Harvard Graduate School of Design, her interest and practice focus on the intervention of art, design, curation, and performance in public domain and urban contexts. Currently, she is the director of visual arts and media at vermilion theater, an after school drama instructor, and a versatile theater designer straddling set, projection, puppet design, as well as communication design and visual branding, constantly exploring the intersection of theater and public engagement.
Her collaborative spirit extends to various arts and culture organizations in the Boston area, including the Boston Planning and Developmental Agency, Peabody Essex Museum, American Repertory Theater, Immigrant Learning Center, PAO Art Center, Chuang Stage, The French Theater Project, and more. Through these collaborations, she seeks to amplify underrepresented voices, bridge communities, and spark meaningful connections through the transformative power of art and design.
